Established in 2002, RTS was born as Retail Technology Services – an organisation formed to help hospitality customers manage complex multi-site networks.
In the time since then we have grown into a fully managed service IT provider, working in markets as diverse as hospitality, transport & travel, logistics, central & local government and charitable organisations.
2002
RTS (Retail Techology Services Ltd) is born. Founded by John Michell as an organisation formed to help hospitality customers manage complex multi-site networks.
2006 - 2008
RTS is established as a Communication Services and Internet Services provider.
RTS successfully convert Bay Restaurant Group and Town, and City Pub Company outlets to ADSL from ISDN polling.
RTS is recognised as 1 of 11 ISPs nationally to be invited to trial ADSL2+ .
2014 - 2018
RTS WiFi is launched and rolled out to selected customers.
RTS introduce Superfast Wi-Fi, using FTTC.
RTS Ideal Comms is launched, partnering with Juniper Networks.
2020 - 2023
RTS CCTV is launched - IP based, local storage, secure remote access.
RTS introduce 5G services.
RTS deploy WiFi 6 in customer sites.
RTS Everywhere is launched - A suite of services designed to simplify technology management for small to medium sized businesses.
2024
Eileen Petley is appointed Managing Director of RTS (Retail Technology Services Ltd).
RTS (Retail Technology Services Ltd) becomes an Employee Ownership Trust - a business operated on trust for the benefit of its employees.
Our dedicated UK based service desk operates 7 days a week, 8am - 11pm with on-call engineers readily available to assist our customers just when they need us.
We have also formed long standing partnerships with the best in the industry.
