McManus Pub Company is a leading UK hospitality group, operating a growing portfolio of traditional pubs, country inns and modern bars. As a family - run business rooted in hospitality tradition, the the company continues to invest in it's estate and evolve, ensuring each site meets with customer expectations while retaining it's unique charm. This forward-looking approach makes reliable, scalable technology a critical part of their ongoing success. 

RTS began working with McManus Pub Company through a Proof Of Concept site focussed on modernising IT infrastructure and voice services. Following it's success, the relationship rapidly evolved into a full estate rollout, with RTS migrating both pub locations and Head Office systems as part of a wider IT and communications transformation journey.

Through 2025 and into 2026, the partnership has grown into a highly collaborative relationship built on transparency, accountability and shared problem-solving.

The Challenge:

What began as a structured migration project quickly became time-critical  when the existing voice services were decommissioned earlier than planned. This unexpected shift created immediate pressure to maintain business communications while infrastructure changes were still underway. RTS worked closely with McManus to bring Voice services live on the existing environment, ensuring business continuity while the wider migration strategy progressed. Later phases of the project introduced further complexity, as communications equipment from the previous supplier needed to be transitioned rapidly across multiple sites. In several locations, RTS completed migrations within a day, utilising temporary connectivity solutions until the permanent connectivity could be installed or migrated. This required tight coordination between RTS, McManus and the outgoing provider to minimise disruption to the pub operations.

The Solution:

RTS played a key role in providing improvements to McManus’ IT & Voice Services across their managed estate of Pubs & Head Office. As part of this transition, RTS was integrated early into project discussions, ensuring their expertise informed major IT initiatives from the outset. A significant milestone came in first with the POC site to implement the RTS services on their new site. This project marked a pivotal moment, cementing RTS’s role not just as a service provider but as a trusted advisor in McManus’ IT Journey. Over 2025 through to 2026, RTS has worked hard to foster trust and transparency with McManus. This has been demonstrated through taking ownership of incidents, maintaining transparent communication, and learning from mistakes to continuously improve the provided service.
